peer MATCHING PROGRAM

welcome

Welcome to Jeff’s Place Peer Matching Support Program, a safe and confidential space for individuals to connect with others who understand what it's like to navigate the journey of recovery.

Jeff's Place Peer Support is open to anyone who needs support with substance abuse/alcoholism, regardless of their age, gender, orientation, or background.

By providing support, encouragement, and resources, peer support helps us:

  • Feel less isolated and alone

  • Learn coping strategies and techniques from others who have been through similar challenges

  • Gain new insights and perspective

  • Build a supportive network of peers who can offer ongoing support

Our program is free and accessible. You may meet virtually or in person according to your preference. To get started, simply sign up here and we'll connect you with a peer supporter who can provide support and guidance. Healing is a community effort and we’re here to help.

As a new program we need volunteer peer supporters as well. Peer supporters only require a year or more of sobriety. Sign up here.

Reach out to Bridgette with any questions at jeffsplace@chabadintown.org

Thanks for helping us help you!

peer SUPPORTER SIGN UP

Peer supporters are trained peers with at least a year of sobriety. They are not therapists or licensed counsellors; they are merely peers that have signed up to lend an ear and share their experience. The "peer" terminology is used in the spirit of equality.
